Arunagirinaadhar was a Tamil saint-poet who lived during the 15th century in Tamil Nadu, India. He is the author of the Thiruppugazh, a book of poems in praise of Lord Murugan. The Thiruppugazh is one of the major works of medieval Tamil literature, known for its poetic and musical qualities, as well as for its moral and philosophical questions. The complex verses are artfully constructed by Arunagiri and their meaning pervades into our modern context. His story begs us to reexamine our sense of duty to the people around us.
